Job Overview – Bilingual Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW):
Join our client as a Bilingual Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW) in New York, NY, providing evidence-based counseling and mental health support to seniors facing challenges such as depression, social isolation, and anxiety. This full-time role involves individual and group therapy in a collaborative setting, offering ongoing training, supervision, and professional development. Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Chinese, or Russian is required.
Compensation: $33 – $40/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)
Responsibilities as the Bilingual Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW):
Counseling & Therapy: Provide individual and group therapy using solution-focused, behavioral-oriented, and skill-building approaches to support seniors.
Crisis Intervention & Support: Address urgent mental health needs and connect clients to appropriate resources.
Collaboration & Case Management: Work with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to coordinate care.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records in electronic health systems, ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
Training & Professional Development: Participate in mandatory team meetings, supervision, and CEU in-service training to enhance clinical expertise.
Qualifications for the Bilingual Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW):
Language Requirement: Bilingual in Spanish, Chinese, or Russian required.
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
Licensure: Active LCSW or LMSW license in New York State required.
Experience:Â 1+ years of experience in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or social work, with a strong preference for experience working with seniors.
Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills required, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
