Job Overview - Behavioral Health Nurse (RN):
Our healthcare client in New York is seeking a Behavioral Health Nurse (RN) to provide medication management, health assessments, and psychoeducation. This on-site role involves delivering comprehensive care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Compensation: $55/hour Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (On-Site)
Responsibilities as the Behavioral Health Nurse (RN):
Community-Based Care: Provide 80% of medication management and health services in the community, including administering medications, monitoring side effects, and coordinating healthcare services.
Documentation: Complete and sign progress notes, nursing assessments, and other documentation in compliance with OMH regulations, DOHMH guidelines, and Medicaid billing standards.
Supervision: Provide guidance to LPNs regarding medication management, health education, and psychoeducation services.
Coordinated Care: Coordinate care with family members, hospitals, housing providers, and other community service providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications for the Behavioral Health Nurse (RN):
Licensure: Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience: 3+ years of experience working with adults in psychiatric nursing, substance use treatment, or social service settings.
Skills: Extensive knowledge of community treatment, support services, and resources.
Language: Fluency in Spanish is preferred!
