Job Description

Job Overview – Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC):
Join our client's dynamic team as a Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC) in Middletown, NJ. In this hybrid role, you will deliver evidence-based care through therapy sessions, case management, and program coordination for individuals in ASAM Level I (Outpatient) or Level 2.1 (Intensive Outpatient Program) services, supporting their recovery and overall mental health.

Compensation: $75,000 - $86,000/year
Location: Middletown, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)


Responsibilities as the Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC):
  • Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct assessments and create treatment plans using ASAM Criteria, DSM-5, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Therapeutic Services: Provide individual, group, and family counseling tailored to client needs and recovery goals.
  • Case Management: Coordinate case consultations, referrals, and discharge planning with external providers and stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to HIPAA and agency confidentiality standards.
  • Program Oversight: Support high-risk clients, contribute to performance improvement initiatives, and supervise staff or interns as needed.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and CEUs, maintain clinical competency, and uphold ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications for the Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC):
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related clinical field.
  • Licensure: Active NJ LCSW or LPC required; LCADC required or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with severe mental health and substance use disorders, including co-occurring disorders.
  • Skills: Expertise in evidence-based practices (experience working with adolescents and families preferred).
  • Attributes: Strong organizational and documentation skills, with a client-centered and recovery-oriented approach.
