Job Description

Job Overview - Behavioral Health Clinician (LAC/LSW):
Our healthcare client is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician with either an LAC or LSW to join their team in Middletown Township, NJ. In this full-time role, you will work within the Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT), helping adults with serious mental illness achieve stability and independence in the community.

Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000/year (Dependent on experience)
Location: Middletown Township, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PMĀ 


Responsibilities as the Behavioral Health Clinician:
  • Community-Based Treatment: Provide individual and group therapeutic services to adults with serious mental illness, supporting them in achieving stability and independence in their communities.
  • Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of participantsā€™ mental health and substance use issues, and collaborate with the PACT team to create personalized treatment plans.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to participants in crisis and provide appropriate intervention services to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Coordination: Work closely with medical, psychiatric, and social services professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for participants.
  • Fieldwork: Conduct home and community visits to provide ongoing support, counseling, and follow-up services to participants as part of the PACT program.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services provided in the electronic health record (NetSmart, My Avatar), ensuring compliance with program standards.
Qualifications for the Behavioral Health Clinician:
  • Education: Masterā€™s degree in Social Work, or Counseling (LSW or LAC required).
  • Experience:Ā 2+ years of experience working withĀ SPMIĀ individuals required (community fieldwork experience preferred).
  • Licensure: Valid New Jersey driverā€™s license required.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and crisis management abilities.
  • Technological: Experience with electronic health records (NetSmart, My Avatar) preferred.
  • Health Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination required (booster optional).
