Job Description

Job Overview - Assistant Program Director (LMSW):
Join our client's dedicated team in New York, NY, as an Assistant Program Director (LMSW). The Assistant Program Director role involves providing oversight and support for the Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) Team, which serves individuals with frequent interactions with mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, and homeless services systems.

Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $68,000 - $77,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday


Responsibilities as the Assistant Program Director (LMSW):
  • Case Management: Carry a small caseload, perform client assessments, and formulate client-centered treatment goals.
  • Client Support: Facilitate client participation in various programs and services, refer clients to community health services, and maintain up-to-date client case records.
  • Family Communication: Communicate regularly with clients' families about their needs and progress.
  • Supervision and Training: Provide clinical supervision to staff and interns, assist in staff recruitment, and ensure staff training according to OMH standards.
  • Program Administration: Assist with staff schedules, financial reporting, and maintaining a training calendar.
  • Policy and Compliance: Assist in the development and adherence to policies and procedures.
Qualifications for the Assistant Program Director (LMSW):
  • Education: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required or Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor. SIFI (Seminar In Field Instruction) certification preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years' experience working with mental health, homeless services, or justice-involved systems. IMT Team experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to learn and use the database and other electronic databases as needed.
  • Language: Ability to speak Spanish is a plus!
