Job Overview – Assistant Program Director, MSW:
Our client is seeking an Assistant Program Director, MSW, to support the Program Director in overseeing, managing, and ensuring quality assurance within their Case Management Program. This full-time role involves supervising staff, assessing the needs of older adults, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Location: Staten Island, NY
Compensation: $78,000 - $84,000/year
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Assistant Program Director, MSW:
Program Oversight: Assist in the management and quality assurance of the Case Management Program, ensuring effective supervision and support for the team.
Staff Supervision: Provide guidance, education, and supervision to staff, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to enhance job performance.
Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of older adults to determine their needs and service eligibility.
Crisis Management: Manage staff and provide creative problem-solving during crisis situations and complex client presentations.
Community Engagement: Maintain knowledge of community resources and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients from diverse backgrounds.
Administrative Support: Assist the Program Director with administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications for the Assistant Program Director, MSW:
Education: MSW/MS required.
Experience: 2+ years of Supervisory/Administrative experience (senior population experience preferred).
Certifications: SIFI certified or ability to obtain certification preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (knowledge of DFTA database STARS is a plus).
Personal Skills: Sensitivity to clients and staff, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
