Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and licensed healthcare professional to serve as the Assistant Clinic Director, supporting the Clinic Director in overseeing operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care and engagement.
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00
Location: New York City
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
Responsibilities:
Administrative:
• Provide administrative backup and clinic oversight in Clinic Director's absence
• Supervise CASAC counselors and ensure delivery of behavioral health services
• Conduct weekly clinical supervision meetings with counselors
• Monitor quality of patient treatment and documentation, initiating corrective actions
• Coordinate release of patient treatment summaries to external agencies
• Participate in staff meetings, committees, and research/demonstration projects
• Provide staff training on evidence-based practices and confidentiality guidelines
Patient Care:
• Serve on Interdisciplinary Team to develop patient treatment plans
• Ensure timely completion of patient documentation in all systems (HRA-STARS, OASAS-CDS, EHR)
• Provide guidance on bio-psycho-social assessments and mental health screenings
• Conduct initial, annual, and crisis mental health evaluations for patients
• Provide individual, group, crisis, and family therapy as needed
• Coordinate referrals for psychiatric, chemical dependency, and other services
• Monitor patient progress with external providers monthly
Patient Engagement:
• Conduct screening, intake, orientation, assessment, and treatment planning
• Provide counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and patient education
• Make referrals to community resources and consult with professionals
• Maintain accurate reports, records, and documentation
Qualifications:
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required
• Qualified Health Professional (QHP) required
• Master's in Healthcare, Public Health or Business Administration preferred
• 3+ years post-Master's experience in mental health assessment and treatment
• 1+ year experience as a counseling supervisor
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
• Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and performance improvement
• Experience with DSM-V diagnosis, treatment planning and consultation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Bilingual capabilities a plus
