Position Overview:
A school-based health clinic in the Bronx is seeking a licensed practical to provide care to students under the supervision of RNs and providers. The role involves assessments, data collection, administering medications, coordinating care teams, and supporting operations across multiple school locations.
Compensation: $38.00 - $42.00 / HR Location: Bronx, New York Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am – 4 pm (No Weekends)
Responsibilities:
• Perform student intake and prepare for provider visits
• Obtain vital signs and recognize abnormal results
• Collect specimens and conduct diagnostic testing
• Document student encounters in health records
• Follow up on lab and imaging results
• Administer immunizations and medications safely
• Conduct student/family education
• Obtain prescription, referral, and insurance approvals
• Maintain BLS certification and participate in emergencies
• Provide culturally competent care and communication
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program
• Current BLS certification
• 1+ year experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexibility for new initiatives
